FAQ for Filmmakers
How does this work – short version?
Filmmakers create an account and upload films for free. You can store unlimited amounts of short films (up to 1 TB). You will earn money each time someone views your film. You can also create your own channels, rate and comment on content, access your films’ statistics and share content with the Shortly community.
Do I need to include English subtitles?
Our viewers come from countries around the world and English subtitles is the safest bet for making sure your film can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Also, short films are perfect for watching in transit, so subtitles make viewing easier in noisy spaces such as trains and buses.
